ZORT - MAMBO POA MARTINO EP
The genesis of Zort’s Mambo Poa Martino came about when a filmmaker friend of the group spent time in Nairobi making a documentary about street football. During his time there he recorded a group of kids from the Nairobi Children’s Remand Home, and their vocals inspired Zort to record the track Mambo Poa Martino.
First up on the EP is a club remix by Berlin’s Ben Mono, an irresistible mix of vintage house and bubbling electro synths. Next up is a stripped-bare minimal house reworking by Cordoba resident Cristobal Paz, followed by a downtempo masterclass by the Frikstailers and the stunning original version by Zort.

Not ones to rest on our laurels here at Revolt Into Style, a mere year and a bit after our debut release comes RIS002. Zort’s original is backed by three stellar (and very different) remixes, courtesy of Berlin legend Ben Mono, and Argentina’s Cristobal Paz and the Frikstailers. There’s truly something for every discerning electronic music lover here.
Vinyl is out on 18th January, digital a fortnight later on 1st February. For now you can listen to the EP here

We’re delighted to announce the release of the Frikstailers ‘Baile Frik
EP.’ Available in 12″ vinyl and digital formats, the record showcases the
group’s unique style with a fine remix from France thrown in for good
measure. Baile Frik (Original Mix) is distorted breakbeat baile funk,
Truthfully is a reggaeton-cumbia-hiphop hybrid, and Ransom the Senator
is a glitchy dancehall banger. Peter Digital Orchestra also weigh in
with an electro booty rework.
